Bridges of Tehran; Wooden bridge

Sep 6, 2020
Wooden bridge is a bridge in the center of Tehran. This bridge is located at the intersection of Enghelab Street and Sepah Street in a north-south direction. In addition, it provides access Sepah Square to Baharestan Square. Before Tehran became what it is today, gates were built around the city to make it possible to defend the city. One of these gates was the Shemiran Gate with ditches full of water around it, through which a wooden bridge was used. Today there is no trace of this gate and that moat full of water, but this place is still known as the wooden bridge.
