Reconstruction of Plasco Memories Jul 28, 2020 The Plasco building was located on the northeast side of the Istanbul-Tehran crossroads; it was considered as the first high-rise and modern building in the Middle East. This 17-storey building with a metal frame, opened in 1962, was the tallest building in Tehran at that time. This tower was the first steel-framed building in Tehran and the second tallest building with an elevator.
